Poormans’ Homemade Wine Filter

With bottom ferment the wine will get quite clear after the first half gallon has passed thru.
~WARNING~ This is a bomb! Pressures may build up to +10 PSI and can potentially blast off the cap (blowout) thus messing up your area. (note the bulge in the base of the inverted fermentor) A metal wire should be used to secure the cap to prevent blowoff.
RED LASER is used to visually check progress must, lee levels and turbidity (cloudiness)
REFRIGERATE the wine below 40F but don’t freeze. This allow the lees to coagulate (clump) and fall down faster.
REMEMBER– the more ’stuff’ you have your wine in contact with, the more the wine loses taste!
