Deep Tube Well – Pros & Cons

The deep tube well is one of the oldest and most reliable ways to get to clean and safe drinking water. People have been doing this for decades. It does have its downsides though:

Pros
- Old & Proven Technology
- Reliable & Easy to Fix
- The water is safe for drinking

Cons
- The high iron content in the underground water makes deep tube well water unsuitable for cooking

I had asked this local (who was also trained to repair the deep tube well if it ever broke down) which she preferred. She choose the deep tube well but later admitted she never had the chance to try the Pond Sand Filter. She’s also aware you can’t use this water to cook with.
