does anyone know how to change a reverse osmosis water filter?

my model is brand ge model number fx12p (if that helps) thanks

Most of the ones I have worked on have a shutoff valve close to the unit. It could be a 1/2" or 3/8" valve. Worst case is that you have to shut the water off at you water meter of at the well tank. After you close the valve, the round housing should unscrew from the flat mounting plate that holds the filters to the wall. I would go to the spout where you get the water from after you shut the valve and open it so you relieve the pressure in the filter housing. Then unscrew them. Usually there are multiple filters and they should all be replaced at the same time. When you are finished just screw them back on and open the valve. Then go and open the tap to bleed air out. Your system will probably run for awhile to replace all the filtered water that was lost when replacing the filters
