Water Filters, Faucet or Pitcher?
Hi, can anyone tell me the pro’s and con’s of using the following:
1. Brita Faucet Filters http://www.brita.com/us/products/faucet-filtration/
2. Brita Pitchers http://www.brita.com/us/products/water-pitchers/
3. Pur Faucet Filters (Any of the 3)
4. Pur Pitcher
I’m trying to decide between faucet and pitchers, what are the differences, and are there any other reputable brands i should look at?
Thanks!
I used to have the regular pitchers, but now I have a rectangular one that looks like a flat water cooler and sits in the fridge. It has a spout you can open and close at the end. It’s made by Brita. It holds more and is more convenient to use.
Never used the filters for the faucet, because I don’t need to filter all the water I use; just the water I will drink or (rarely) boil some food in.

I would suggest getting the filter for the faucet. Most people have hard water which carries alot of chemicals, which i dont care for. I have a pitcher at home and a faucet one as well. You have to keep in mind your washing your hands under the water, you cooking food with it, or it could be going into a mix or something of that matter. Also if you find that your hair is getting very dry or breaking its due to your water as well. So its a cheap alternative to having to buy salt pellets and a water softner for your whole house.. to just wash your hair in the sink.
