Thanks…it only … Thanks…it only took me 40 seconds into the video for you to solve low my pressure problem !
I forgot my bath faucet also had an aerator…..(I also have the same faucet which was nice.)
Hi Bob, my faucett … Hi Bob, my faucett head feels like there is a jolt of water pressure when I first turn it on. I was told to take off the restricter, but that saves me water? I took it off & replaced it with another I had and it works better, just a slight pressure when I raise the water volume…Why is this happening and how do I keep the original restricter on without the pressure jolt when I first turn on the faucett? Thanks
excellent video. … excellent video. thank you so much for sharing your expertise. i will be viewing this again, and i will be the one to fix our faucets next time. another woman fan here – great job, Bob!
Yes. Hot vinegar … Yes. Hot vinegar helps good mostly to clean unorganic minerals. Sand, soil, rust should be removed other ( manual ) way. BTW I like your videos. They have a sense and gives to people new informations. This type of videos should be more often on youtube. 5 stars !

Guess what it was.. … Guess what it was… It was gunk or black nasty build up in the faucet itself.. we took off the handle removed that valve under that.. there where the water intake valves.. Clogged with black stuff.. well two of them where.. Jammed a paper clip through the black buildup that was in the New Faucet from installation i guess.. well cleaned out those 3 small holes and put everything back together.. and Bam.. Water running again.. Thanks so so much for your wisdom.. you are a god sent to YouTube!
If it is open and … If it is open and running strong at the shut-off valves take the aerator off again and with the pop-up closed or something covering the drain, turn your faucet on first hot then cold and see if something does’nt come out of faucet. I heard sometimes with a large piece of debris when faucet is turned off backpressure can actuall suck debris back into faucet Hope this helps+++Bob
Hey man. ???? I … Hey man. ???? I just did that.. It was dirty.. But this was not the issue causing the low flow.. I need your wisdom.. The valves are open all the way.. It is only the sink faucet with an issue.. its a new sink faucet.. It was working for a few days.. we were having issues with old faucet. I can unhook the cold and hot hookups and turn the valves open and they start spraying out.. There was tiny black particles in the screen/aerator, cleaned them out and still no pressure.. Please help me..
Wow,great comment, … Wow,great comment,My videos are viewed 85% male and only 15% female,Never could understand that,Glad to hear I have at least one female fan! Thanks +++Bob
Bob Schmidt. You are … Bob Schmidt. You are my new best friend. I managed to save myself the cost of a plumber and it took me 3 mins.
Me a woman, who ran screaming from any plumbing dilemma fixed my own pathetic water flow.
There is a torrent coming out now.
I love you Bob, I really do!
Good advice Bob. I … Good advice Bob. I use a small length of plastic pipe on each jaw, covering the multi-pliers and then grab the aerators. Keep it in the tool bag. Don’t grab them too tight, they can get squashed, AND THEY WONT GO BACK ON…
I run into this … I run into this alot working in hotels and apartments. Very good tip to clean these out every couple months. I have noticed in the Colorado Mt. we have alot of HARD WATER here and these things get clogged very often with a HARD BLACK mineral build up. Check them often , it is after all THE WATER YOU DRINK FROM!!
took another look … took another look and figured out which part screws off. my part fits more flush with the faucet head than the one in your vid. used the tape on the pliers, and voila! worked like a charm. thanks.
my bath faucets (8 … my bath faucets (8 yrs. old), which have aerators, do not seem to have a part that screws off. how do i remove these aerators for cleaning?
Thanks for the … Thanks for the useful information on your videos! Would you have any advice on how to open and replace the wahers on a moen rotary ball kitchen faucet.
If the poor water … If the poor water flow is just to the one faucet, take the aerator back off and after closing the drain and turn the water on,there may be a blockage that drops back into water pipe when pressure is off that could clear when water is turned on with aerator off.make sure to close drain in case there is still a screen in place that did’nt come off with aerator.Hope this helps===Bob
