How many impurities do water filters remove and what’s a good kind of water filter to buy?

It’s better to use tap water if you have good water and add a filter to improve quality, taste, and smell. Plastic bottles are filling up landfills and take years to degrade. In addition, some plastics leak chemicals that disrupt normal hormone levels.

There are many different types of water filters. Personally, I like the brita pitcher with replaceable filters that you can easily change every few months. The tap water does taste and smell better. If you have a newer fridge it may have a GE water filter built in, those work well too, but may cost more and last longer.
