Making iron oxide, Boiling out water than drying, will it change effect?

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Hey, I’m making iron oxide for an experiment with plant fertilizer and stuff. I am making it through electrolysis. I tried to ways to get the iron oxide after wards. I tried to boil out all the water, and filter it and then leave it under a lamp to dry it out.
When I filtered it and dried under lamp it was brownish like normal rust. When I boiled out the water it was kinda black.
Is it still rust? I find boiling out water if faster but I was wondeirng if its the same stuff.

Thanks!

Rust is hydrated iron oxide. If you heat it you can remove the H2O and the appearance will change.

Why I don’t understand is why you are making it this way. There is plenty around naturally.. most people can find it in their garden shed. Or why not just leave damp iron filings .. they rust within a day?

Extremely low ph level in well water !!!?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Right around 1 ph – Water comes in and hits a sediment filter then to another more aggressive sediment filter then to a activated charcoal filter then to a reverse osmosis system. Bought GE’s top of the line whole house filter and RO systems. Test at the drinking faucet and everything else (copper, iron, chlorine, etc) checks out wonderful… Just very, very low on the ph – QUESTION IS… Safe to drink?

your water has a ph of 1? do u realise that is the same as the acid in your stomach???? almost the ph of battery acid. if your water is really that level in ph you should be calling environmental health or your local autority as that is not a good level. water is normally around 7. you would effectivly be drinking acid. dont drink it.

pH of Water

Starring my neighbors Alex and Brianna. . .

Filtered water is run through a PUR faucet filter.

Dr. Young’s web site : http://www.phmiracleliving.com/

It looks like he offers faucet filters that up pH. I’m thinking of trying one and adding sodium bicarbonate in the mean time.

When healthy, the pH of blood is 7.4, the pH of spinal fluid is 7.4, and the pH of saliva is 7.4. Thus the pH of saliva parallels the extra cellular fluid…pH test of saliva represents the most consistent and most definitive physical sign of the ionic calcium deficiency syndrome…The pH of the non-deficient and healthy person is in the 7.5 (dark blue) to 7.1 (blue) slightly alkaline range. The range from 6.5 (blue-green) which is weakly acidic to 4.5 (light yellow) which is strongly acidic represents states from mildly deficient to strongly deficient, respectively. Most children are dark blue, a pH of 7.5. Over half of adults are green-yellow, a pH of 6.5 or lower, reflecting the calcium deficiency of aging and lifestyle defects. Cancer patients are usually a bright yellow, a pH of 4.5, especially when terminal.” The Calcium Factor: The Scientific Secret of Health and Youth, by Robert R. Barefoot and Carl J. Reich, M.D., Gilliland Printing Inc., Arkansas City, Kansas, 1996.

To be too acidic in the body can have far reaching consequences. For example, if the blood becomes too acidic the body will balance the pH at all costs. This can lead to common symptoms which include but are not limited to heart burn, acid reflux, indigestion, weight gain, difficulty losing weight, poor metabolism, mineral deficiencies, constipation, fatigue, brain fog, frequent urination, hormonal imbalances, sore muscles and the list goes on.

Similar problems may occur if we become too alkaline, though this is much less likely. Obviously, maintaining the proper pH in the blood, digestive tract, tissues and fluids is essential in supporting optimal health.

OC-50 Dieselcraft centrifuge WVO / biodiesel vegetable oil cleaning rig

Monday, December 28th, 2009

this is how i clean my oil after settleing for over a month. I run it approximately one hour at 80psi, starting at 160 degrees getting above 212 degrees to get all the water out. Then I pan test the oil in a cast iron pan to be absolutely sure there is no suspended water left in the oil.
I run a single tank, chevy k5, with a 6.2l diesel motor. I use poly tanks and blend 20% diesel back in for all year operation. Also i use a Racor 1000 filter with a built in 300 watt electric heater that gets up to 160 degrees. First I preheat my injection line heaters (4×100 watts), for approx 2 minutes before glow plugging and starting up. Injection line heaters are run on a seperate temp regulated circuit that i monitor on my dash. They run at approximately 150 degrees full time. Of course once my filter heater gets going they cycle very little.

After connecting the diverter to my faucet from my countertop filter, water is leaking from the connection.?

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

After connecting the diverter to my faucet from my countertop filter, water is leaking from the connection. How to I solve the problem?

Water can leak from the top of the diverter if you forget to put the black washer into the diverter before you connect it to your faucet (after you’ve removed the aerator). A black washer is supplied with all countertop filters. You should also use Teflon tape on the threads before installing the diverter if you still have a leak. For more advice visit Isopurewater.com

water is leaking from the central air system unit and drip down soaking the filter?

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

I have my central air and heat unit in a side room in the garage. Recently I’ve noticed water dripping down the front of the unit and soaking the filters and running out on the floor. Its an older GE Gas Warmed unit, made in trenton New Jersey. The house was built in 1972, so i’m assuming the unit is that old. I recently changed the filters, so i’m sure its not them, It has 2 air filters, 25" x 20" x 1", one on the bottom over the same size hole to the sub floor, and a vertical filter to its left at right angle to it. The water seems to be dripping from about half way up the unit, and looking to become hazardous as the water runs down very near electrical wires coming into the unit. It doesn’t drip right away, usually after its been running for several hours. I’ve closed some vents in other rooms to push more air to the bedroom at night, don’t know if thats an issue. What do you suggest I do?

The drain is plugged or draining very slowly. The best way would be to blow the drain out with about 10 lbs of compressed air.If you have none available,a close hanger may work for the time being.Shut the power off and remove the panel, witha flashlight locate the drain pan orifice(it’s located where the drain attaches to the pan),stick the hanger in the orifice and remove the restriction.
While you still have the flashlight also look at the cleanliness of the coil at the return side.
Good luck.
