Reverse Osmosis filtration system filters?
Monday, October 26th, 2009Is there an alternative to those pricey GE filters for my GE reverse osmosis water filtration system?
You don’t have to buy the GE brand. There are different choices and prices available on-line. However, don’t go super cheap. Not all RO filters are made alike. There are definitely inferior products on the market.
To check the effectiveness of your RO filter, you might want to install a TDS Monitor like this:

It also helps to determine when it is time to change the filter.
I suggest you stick with a brand name like GE or Watts, etc, but look for a vendor with the best deal. Making sure your water is clean is important.
